Brief introduction to the Musical

Almost all the action takes place in a fictional tropical coastal town whose name is Claraluna, and as such, dedicated primarily to fishing and growing tobacco.

In his music are present elements of style and forms characteristic of Caribbean music, consistently conjugated with the best of the symphony of London and American musicals, which brings to this Musical a freshness and fragrance unusual in this genre.

All the music is sung from beginning to end, and only in exceptional occasions are exclamations or phrases introduced, both in the soloists and in the choir. The latter is not an in-off element but is performed by the same singers that were on stage at that time.

Except in the two Overtures -from the first and second part- all the instrumental musical material included must have the participation of the dance corps, constituted by the secondary cast, which must combine their vocal qualities with the choreographic ones.

In the orchestra are present instruments of symphonic music and others of popular origin.
